Mission Statement

To encourage millions of people
worldwide to support poverty relief.

(This is summed up in the whhf motto)
Helping You to Help Others!

The whhf Logo

The "cut out people" at the bottom of the bold whhf letters represent the one third of the world's population who are not poverty stricken. When people from this population group "join hands" together in an organised, worldwide program to help the other two thirds who are poverty stricken, only then will the appalling situation with world poverty change for the better!

WORLD HEALTH &
HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION

is written in red to signify urgency!

How urgent is the situation? Although prime-time, headline coverage rarely touches on the daily deaths of 25,000- 30,000 children worldwide, it still goes on every day. Yes, that's 25,000-30,000 every day of the year. All because of the silent killers; poverty, hunger, easily preventable diseases and illnesses, and other related causes.

It is therefore vitally important for those of us who can take action in some way to help this situation do so immediately? If the causes of death are greatly decreased through major financial support, it follows that the death rate itself will also greatly decrease and become far less than what it is currently!

It only takes one person at a time to decide to take action; will you join hands with us today? Please let us Help You to Help Others!

Official registration

The World Health & Humanitarian Foundation (whhf) was first registered in June, 2005 for the sole purpose of financially supporting poverty relief. In 2007 the whhf Board voted unanimously to also include Kenya as an official location, as most of our humanitarian projects are located there. Registration as a Charitable Organization in Kenya was issued in September, 2007. whhf is now registered the USA and Kenya.

whhf Coordinators

Wayne Martin
International Coordinator

Since his life changing visit to Kenya in 2000, Wayne has been financially supporting poverty relief. Prior to his involvement in full time humanitarian work Wayne had a varied career, including: financial services, sales and marketing consultant, national training manager, natural health services and building and finance consultant.

In 2005 Wayne helped to establish the World Health & Humanitarian Foundation, it was at this time the whhf motto was coined: Helping You to Help Others!

Helping to relieve poverty and helping others do the same has become Wayne's life work.

Wayne says, "I cannot recall a more positively exhilarating experience in my working life than being directly involved in saving lives and helpings others do the same. That's why I want to share this experience with as many people as possible worldwide. We can substantially change things for the better by working together as a global team!"

Peter Hewitt
African Coordinator

Peter and his wife Sylvia first arrived in Kenya Feb 2001. Their commitment to the people and their needs in this 3rd world country is exceptional. Peter previously experienced extreme poverty conditions while working in India in 1995.

Before commencing fulltime humanitarian work, part of Peter's background was in project management. He also spent many years in agriculture; wheat farming, small cash crops and organic farming. As a local project, Peter and the Team in Kenya are producing an excellent organic fertilizer. This project not only provides local employment and raises funds for orphaned children but has the potential to help thousands of farmers rebuild their land after years of over-use of chemical fertilizers.

For several months after the December '07 Kenyan election, tribal violence caused the displacement of much of Kenya's population. Peter was instrumental in the relocation of many of these displaced people back to their ancestral homes to be reunited with their families.

Peter says, "As we travel around the villages and country side the evidence of suffering is very apparent, but the knowledge that the whhf has such caring Supporters is extremely comforting, they help us make a huge difference in the lives of so many. The results of our work are very rewarding."

Eric Mambuya Amuyunzu
Social Development Coordinator.

Eric was born and raised in Kenya's Western Province and is acutely aware of the enormous needs for the work of the whhf in his part of the world.

From a varied background including gardener and taxi driver, Eric began doing Social Work in 2003, advancing the interests of orphaned children by promoting their needs for care and protection.

In Community Social Development, Eric's role was to promote the wellbeing of the needy and marginalized members of the community through the provision of support to local initiatives in health, HIV/ AIDS support programs, agricultural education, water supplies and sanitation. Eric certainly comes well equipped to perform his role as whhf's Social Development Coordinator.

Eric says, "I feel very blessed to be part of an organization that has done so much good in my own country and I am privileged to be able to contribute in some small way to the life saving work of the whhf. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the whhf Supporters for their continued help as we all work together to change lives for the better".

Andy Leishman
Marketing Coordinator

Andy originally comes from a trade background but realised his true calling was in sales and marketing. Andy owned and operated several successful companies which helped to further develop his people skills and prepare him for an outstanding career in direct sales. He has generated millions of dollars in revenue for several companies and with his wife Vicki has been awarded many outstanding achiever and overseas travel awards, reaching the top positions and high levels of success with direct sales companies on three continents and in every state of Australia. Andy has a great will to succeed and an incredible passion for the life saving work of the whhf. His vast experience and the ability to "get the job done" with honesty and integrity equip him well for his role as whhf's Marketing Coordinator.

Andy says, “I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this life saving work. It gives me a great sense of purpose to know that I can make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than myself. One of my goals as Marketing Coordinator is to uplift and inspire all the whhf Supporters to help fulfil the whhf mission Statement: To encourage millions of people worldwide to support poverty relief.
